Vita
I am a specialist in Mathematical Analysis. My research focuses primarily on dynamical systems, fractional calculus, and operator theory. Since April 2026, I have been accredited as a Full Professor (Catedrática de Universidad) by the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). Since March 2023, I have held a permanent position as an Associate Professor at the University of Cádiz. From 2020 to February 2023, I held a permanent position as an Associate Professor at the Universitat Politècnica de València.
I have recently received the FRACE Award for Female Talent in Mathematics, granted by the Royal Academy of Sciences of Spain Foundation in collaboration with Mastercard, recognizing Outstanding Female Researchers under 45. I have also received the Vicent Caselles Research Award, granted by the Royal Spanish Mathematical Society to the best young researchers in Spain; the Young Researcher Award in Sciences from Universitat Jaume I, awarded by Banco Santander; and the Andalusian Future Prize in the Science category (2019), granted by Bankia and the Joly Group. I have also received the Mathematics Young Investigator Award, granted by the journal Mathematics, recognizing excellence in mathematics research for researchers under 35. In addition, I served as a jury member for the 2018 King Jaime I Awards in the Basic Research category.
Some of my most relevant achievements are:
- I obtained a degree in Mathematics in 2010 with a GPA of 3.93/4. I was awarded the Extraordinary Award in Mathematics (academic year 2009/2010), the Manuel Caballero Award for the best student of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Cádiz, a La Caixa scholarship to pursue the INVESTMAT Master’s Degree, the Award for Best Academic Record in the INVESTMAT Master’s program, and the First National Award for Excellence in University Academic Performance.
- I have worked as a Senior Research Technician in the PROMETEO Excellence Project “Functional Analysis, Operator Theory and Applications,” and as a fellow in the Ministry of Education’s FPU Program. I have completed research stays at Université de Mons (Belgium), supported by an FNRS fellowship (1.5 months); Università del Salento (2 months), funded by a Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer grant from the Catalan Mathematical Society; the Complutense University of Madrid (3 months); and the University of Santiago de Chile (2 months). In total, I have accumulated more than 13 months of research stays at prestigious national and international institutions.
- I was a Severo Ochoa (SEV-2013-0323) postdoctoral researcher at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics. I have co-supervised one PhD thesis (awarded Excellent Cum Laude) and 11 undergraduate and master’s theses. I am the co-author of 81 publications, 73 of which are published in JCR-indexed journals (41 Q1, 25 Q2, and 5 Q3), as well as one book chapter.
- I have been an invited speaker at more than 26 national and international conferences. I have participated in 16 national and international research projects and have served as Principal Investigator in four of them. I have been awarded two six-year research periods (“sexenios”) corresponding to 2011–2016 and 2016–2023.
- I have delivered more than 2,300 hours of university teaching and 140 hours in educational innovation projects. I have published eight research papers in education and two teaching books, and I have participated in several educational innovation projects.
